The Sociology and Anthropology Department offers an integrated BA degree in sociology and anthropology. The Department seeks a sociologist with a strong background in quantitative methodology for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Areas of research specialization are open, but preference will be given to a research program that will complement the department’s focus on justice, equality, community, and change. The successful candidate will possess or be near completion of a PhD, possess demonstrated ability and willingness to teach quantitative methods and a variety of other undergraduate courses, and will enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment. While preference will be given to sociologists, other related disciplines may be considered.
Workload includes research, teaching and collegial service. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Agreement with the Faculty Association. All positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
