President’s WelcomeFor those who have not heard the sad news yet, Dr. Graham Watson (Professor Emeritus) passed away on November 9, 2018 of natural causes in Abingdon, UK at the age of 83.
Graham was one of the two founding members of the Department of Anthropology and Sociology in which was established in 1967.
There are not many people around now who remember Dr. Watson, so we have put together a number of tributes from Graham’s colleagues and past students on the web site and an announcement on Facebook. The University will also be lowering the campus flag to half-mast in his honor on Wednesday Nov 28, 2019.
We have already sent our thoughts and condolences as a department to his wife Lorna in the UK on the day of his funeral last weekend.
