· Cultureblog· Calls· Announcements

Please find below the details of the call for applications for the following positions on the CASCA Executive Committee:

1) President-elect (one-year term, May 2024 to May 2025, followed by a one-year term as president, May 2025 to May 2026, and a one-year term as past president, May 2026 to May 2027).

The president-elect must familiarize themselves with the Society’s policies and procedures, solicit nominations for the Executive Committee, serve as a liaison with the organizers of the upcoming conference, and assist the current president with some of their duties. The president-elect also serves on the CASCA Award for Excellence in Teaching Committee and reviews the financial reports submitted periodically by the treasurer and the executive coordinator.

2) English-speaking active member (two-year term, May 2024 to May 2026)

In collaboration with the Executive Committee and with the assistance of the CASCA webmaster, active French- and English-speaking members produce *Culture*, the CASCA e-newsletter. They prepare it for publication and distribution at least twice a year. Various tasks are assigned to each active member in collaboration with the president. These are usually specific, short-term tasks to support the Society, such as serving on the Weaver-Tremblay and Salisbury Awards selection committee, as well as coordinating travel grants for students, in collaboration with the treasurer.
