Conference theme: "A Change of Air"

Dates:From Wednesday, November 20 to Sunday, November 24, 2019.

We will meet in Vancouver, on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.

Membership and registration

To participate in the joint conference as a member of CASCA, you must:

1. pay yourCASCA membership (click here)
2. pay yourconference registrationto the conference through CASCA(click here)

Yourmembership status must be up to date and yourconference registration fees must be paid to attend the conference. You can pay membership and registration at the same time.

The conference will take place atVancouver Convention Center. See theinteractive online program here (you can select the language with the Google Translate function at the bottom left).

CASCA special events

Information onCASCA special events such as the presentation of the Weaver-Tremblay Prize and the recipient's address, the Women's Network reception, the banquet, and the general assembly are nowavailable here.

Accommodation

We strongly advise you to book your accommodation through the AAA-CASCA system. Why?The answer is here (in English only).

The reservation system is now open.To make a hotel room reservation, you must first be registered for the conference throughCASCA or the AAA. There are three easy steps to follow:

1. Confirm that you are already registered for the conference (throughCASCA or the AAA).If you are registering for the first time throughCASCA, please wait one business day to allow us to transfer your information into the joint registration database.
2. Go to theaccommodation portal here and sign inwith the same email address you used to register for the conference.
3. Select your hotel and follow the instructions to complete your reservation, after which you will receive a confirmation email.

The deadline to book a hotel is Tuesday, October 29, 2019. You must use the AAA accommodation portal to obtain discounted room rates because hotels will not give these rates if you contact them directly.

Room sharing

If you are looking to share a room to reduce costs, you can send a message tocascanews@cas-sca.ca to have it circulated or posted on theCASCA-AAA conference classifieds page.

You can also use the portal built by the AAA for conference registrants who are looking to share a room booked through the accommodation system.Join the list of people looking to share a room orsee the current list of those people.

Please note that the AAA/CASCA will not match or assign roommates. This space is designated as a meeting place for conference participants who wish to get in touch with potential roommates. However, it is your responsibility to make the necessary arrangements. AAA/CASCA is not responsible for any liability or financial obligations that may arise from a voluntary contact made through this space.
